A Beautiful, Fun Eastwell Manor Wedding

Eastwell Manor Wedding

Leah and James wanted everyone to have fun on their wedding day and that is just what happened.

It fantastic to share this amazing day with Leah and James’ and capture it for them both in wedding photography and cinematic wedding videography.

It was a wedding full of happiness and joy at two great locations, which meant a lot to them. The ceremony was at St Gregory & St Martin’s Church in Wye (I believe not too far from where James plays cricket!), then they travelled in style on to their stunning Eastwell Manor wedding venue.  The happy couple in a silver Bentley wedding car, the bridesmaids in a stylish Campervan and the guests in a Big Red Bus

It was great getting to know such an amazing couple with so much love between them so here is a little bit more from them.

How did you meet?

We met at work and were friends for a year before we went on our first date.

Tell us some info about yourselves

James: I love my cricket, and used to play for Kent in my early 20’s. I still play on my free weekends for Wye. I am also a massive arsenal fan!

Leah: I love to dance (ballet, tap & street!) and am a qualified dance teacher. I taught at a local dance school up until recently. I also love to bake!

How did the proposal go down

Leah: We were on holiday in the south of France. We were sitting outside under blankets watching the sunset, and James pulls out a box from under his blanket and asks me to marry him. I immediately burst into tears, and after a few minutes of me saying ‘Really!?’ ‘Are you serious?!’… I said yes!

Why did you choose this wedding venue?

The church in Wye is really special for James, so in order to have our ceremony there we needed a reception venue close by. We have always loved the Eastwell Manor wedding venue (we spent our first New Years together here!) so there was no question that this was the venue for us.

What sort of experience did you want your guests to have?

We mainly just wanted everyone to have fun and be relaxed, but also wanted them to be blown away by the venue.

We had a dusty pink and white theme, and also threw in a bit of Game of Thrones for our table plan. It’s our favourite show!

What was the best decision you made in your wedding planning?

We thought it was important to view as many venues as possible to get the right one.  It is such a big part of your day after all, so even though we had pretty much set our hearts on the Eastwell Manor wedding venue, we still went to see 2 or 3 others to compare it with. This made us love it even more and confirmed this was the place for us. Plus it’s all part of the wedding planning fun!

What was the hardest decision to make?

The table plan was difficult. It took us weeks to get it just right.

What are your favourite memories of the day?

The ceremony was our favourite part. It was magical!

What is your top bit of advice for other couples planning their wedding day?

Use spreadsheets to keep on top of everything and don’t stress over little things, but most of all… enjoy it!
